Common faults and solutions of golf ball grinding machine

During use, the golf ball grinding machine may experience malfunctions such as reduced grinding accuracy, equipment vibration, and excessive wear of the grinding head. The following are common faults and their corresponding solutions:
1. Grinding accuracy does not meet the standard (large roundness error, sand marks on the surface):

Reasons: severe wear of the grinding head, offset of the positioning mechanism, unreasonable grinding parameters, and insufficient cooling leading to debris residue.

Solution: Replace the grinding head with a new one; recalibrate the positioning mechanism and adjust the center of the ball; optimize the grinding parameters (reduce the rotational speed, adjust the pressure, and extend the fine grinding time); check the cooling system to ensure sufficient water supply and timely discharge of debris.

2. Severe equipment vibration:

Reasons: Unbalanced grinding head, loose fixing bolts of the equipment, worn bearings, and damaged drive belt.

Solution: Perform balance calibration on the grinding head; tighten the fixing bolts of the equipment; replace worn bearings and drive belts.

3. The grinding head wears out too quickly:

Reasons: High grinding pressure, mismatch between grinding medium and ball material, and insufficient cooling leading to high-temperature wear.

Solution: Reduce the grinding pressure; replace the grinding head with one suitable for the material of the ball; check the cooling system to ensure that the cooling effect meets the standard.

4. Automation system malfunction (feeding/discharging jam, parameters not responding):

Reasons: insufficient pressure in the hydraulic/pneumatic system, sensor malfunction, and abnormal control system program.

Solution: Check the hydraulic/pneumatic system and replenish the pressure; clean or replace the faulty sensor; restart the control system, and if necessary, contact the manufacturer for program repair.
